Loopworm is a Bengaluru-based biotech startup rethinking how the world produces protein- by using silkworms instead of traditional industrial reactors. Their “reactor-free” approach lets them grow useful proteins, enzymes, and other materials directly inside insect biomass, making the process faster, cheaper, and more scalable. Founded in 2019, the startup runs a 6,000-tonne/year insect-processing plant that exports products globally- serving aquaculture, pet food, diagnostics, and animal vaccine markets and has secured international certifications. $3.25M Pre‑Series A round led by WaterBridge Ventures and Enrission India Capital. Ankit Alok Bagaria, Co‑founder & CEO- leads vision and commercialization after developing Loopworm’s core biotech process. Oben Electric is a Bengaluru-based EV startup focused on manufacturing performance electric motorcycles built entirely in-house, from battery packs and vehicle control units to home charging solutions.
